Licensing Music for movie + Webseries

Discussion in 'Channel Feedback' started by Jamiethecomic - Revi, Jun 29, 2014.

  1. Hi there I was wondering how I would go about licensing a song for a movie and the follow up webseries I am currently in the process of pre-production and working out budgets. The song in question is Take my Hand by Simple Plan.

  2. Hi Jamie,

To license the song, you need to contact both publishers. There are three authors for the track "Take My Hand": Pierre Bouvier, Chuck Comeau, and, Arnold Lanni. The first two are with Warner Chappell and the Arnold Lanni is with a Canadian publishing company called Lunni Tunes, but we don't have contact info for them. You can call Warner to begin the licensing process and to ask for contact info for the other publisher.

  3. Would e-mailing them be just as effective? Because I am in the UK the time difference may be an issue. Or is it possible I could have a repersentive from Scalelab to speak on my behalf?

  4. Emailing would probably work just as easily!  Let us know if it doesn't.
